With their self-titled EP in 2006, The Coast gained attention for their chiming guitars, soaring vocals, and bittersweet lyrics often drawing comparisons to such musical visionaries as New Order and The Verve. Adding new colours to their musical palette, The Coast remain defiantly unrestricted by genre, from the roots flavoured up-tempo rocker "No Secret Why" to the atmospheric wide-screen pop of "Ceremony Guns."
"Darn: The Canadians have done it again!....endearing, catchy-as-hell pop." Clash
These Canadians sound a bit like Arcade Fire pretending to be New Order doing Flaming Lips cover versions. Mindblowing, huh?" The Guardian
"...pinging between Mercury Rev-esque swirliness and stentorian, Cold War Kids-style strop-rock." NME
