Pernille // Fire

A rapidly emerging artist in her home of Denmark, Pernille (pronounced "pear–nil–eh") has performed at some of the most significant music festivals in that country, and played in Copenhagen with Canadian artist Brian Borcherdt (Holy Fuck, ex-By Divine Right).

Originally released in Scandinavia in mid-2005, Fire is a record that combines the off-kilter musicianship of Stina Nordenstam or Canadian cellist Jorane with the vocal style of Amy Lee. Ten poetic songs about dominance, feebleness, and loving the passion that burns inside — about running from life, and feeling alive.
